Domestic airline prices are dropping. International travel is up this year.

Travel within the US is down, so airlines have been slashing their prices in the hopes that people will be convinced enough to keep their travels domestic. International travel has been the shining beacon of the American travel industry as the number of Americans traveling to Europe and Asia have increased by 55% and 300% over the past year.

In response to this mass exodus of international travellers, US-focused airlines JetBlue, Alaska, Southwest, Spirit, and Frontier have all either held massive flight promotions or slashed prices to prevent a loss in Q3 of 2023.
